do it for the kids!

it's FINALLY that time of year!  the twinkly lights are starting to go up, santa is waiting to take pictures with thousands of kids at the mall, and there's a chill in the air (kind of, sometimes, but not so much here in san diego so we just pretend).  the holidays are upon us and for mimi & red that means our annual toy drive!  each year for the past four years or so we have been collecting toys for kids in need.  we work closely with a special customer of ours to help out kids in our north park neighborhood.

Vanessa started as a customer, but has turned into a friend of Michelle & Rhondda. working at Edison Elementary School as the school counselor, Vanessa says the majority of the students need all the help they can get because of their socioeconomic status.  all of the students get free breakfast and lunch everyday at school and Vanessa personally helps out any way she can whenever she can. when Michelle & Rhondda learned of the amazing work Vanessa does to help her students they were itching to do anything possible to lend their support.  this annual toy drive means so much to these kids and we are more than happy to help.

these donations will make or break a student's Christmas, so please drop off toys, gift cards, or anything that you can afford this holiday season for students in kindergarten through 5th grade!  both mimi & red locations will be accepting donations now until december 19th!  xo
